TALLAHASSEE — Gov. Rick Scott appointed Vivian Myrtetus as CEO of Volunteer Florida, a service organization, his office announced Friday. She succeeds Chester Spellman, who is joining AmeriCorps as its director.
"Her nearly two decades of experience serving in various leadership positions in state government and the private sector will make her a valuable leader for Volunteer Florida," Scott said in a release.
Volunteer Florida is the state's lead agency for volunteerism and national service, administering $31.7 million in federal, state, and local funding for service programs.
Myrtetus will leave her role as regional manager for Pondera Solutions, a fraud detection company, when she begins her new role Sept. 1.
